Peka Bridge - when you prefer the quieter places

Peka Bridge is a small, non-commerial border post to Lesotho, only 26 km from the busy Ficksburg Bridge border post. The buildings are new, well maintained and in spotless condition. The beautiful setting crossing the Caledons river with huge trees on the river banks makes this a preferred border post to this part of Lesotho.

The turn-off from the R26 to the border post is 18 km from Ficksburg and 44 km from Lady Brand. The last 6 km is a gravel road in a reasonable condition. An average of 2,000 tourists and locals per month use this border post to avoid the two busy, commercial surrounding border posts (Ficksburg Bridge and Maseru Bridge).  The road from the border post on the Lesotho side is a tarred road.

Approaching Peka Bridge from SA side, by reasonable gravel road.
